பிட்சாடன மூர்த்தி

Pichadan Murthy (பிட்சாடன மூர்த்தி) is a form of Lord Shiva known for his role in managing or controlling forces related to pichas or ghosts. தாருகாவனத்து முனிவர்கள் சிவபக்தியை விட யாகமே சிறந்தது என்று மமதையில் எண்ணற்ற யாகங்கள் செய்யலானார்கள். அவர்கள் மமதையை அடக்க சிவபெருமான் எண்ணினான். <உடன் திருமாலை அழைத்து முன்னொறு முறை எடுத்த மோகினி <உருவத்துடன் வரவேண்டினார். திருமாலும் அக்கணமே மோகினியாக மாறினார். சிவபெருமானும் கபாலமும், சூலமும் கையில் கொண்டு பிட்சாடனராக மாறினார். இருவரும் தாருகாவனம் அடைந்தனர். அவ்வனத்தில் தவத்தில் ஈடுபட்டிருந்த முனிவர்கள் மோகினியைக் கண்டு ஆசைக் கொண்டு அவரது பின்னாலே அலைந்தனர்.

இதற்கிடையே சிவபெருமான் முனிபத்தினிகள் வசிக்கும் வீதியில் பிச்சை கேட்கும் பிட்சாடனராக மாறி, ஓசையுடன் பாடியவாறே சென்றார். இவ்வோசையைக் கேட்ட முனிபத்தினிகள் அவரையும், அவரது பாடலையும் கேட்டு மயங்கினார். சிலர் அவர் மேல் காதல் வயப்பட்டனர். இதனால் முனிபத்தினிகளின் களங்கமற்ற கற்பு களங்கமுற்றது. மோகினியால் தவநிலை இழந்த முனிவர்கள் வீடுவர, இங்கே பிட்சாடனரால் நெறிதவறிய தன் மனையை நோக்கிய முனிவர்கள் இதற்கெல்லாம் காரணம் என்னவென்று அறிய விரும்பினார். மேலும் பிட்சாடனரின் பின்னாலே தொடர்ந்து சென்றுக் கொண்டிருந்த முனிவர்களின் பத்தினிகள் ஒருவாறு மயக்கம் தெளிந்து கணவனுடன் இணைந்தனர். பின்னர் மோகினியான திருமாலும், பிட்சாடனரான சிவபெருமானும் திருத்தளிச்சேரி எனும் ஊரில் மறைந்தருளினர்.

பின்னர் சிவபெருமானை அழிக்க எண்ணிய முனிவர்கள் அபிசார யாகம் இயற்றி, அதிலிருந்து வெளிவரும் பொருளினால் சிவபெருமானை கொல்ல ஏவினர். ஆனால் அவர் அவற்றையெல்லாம் ஆடையாகவும், ஆபணமாகவும் அணிந்துக் கொண்டார். அதன்பின் இருவரும் கையிலை சென்றார்கள்.

தாருவன முனிவர்களின் தவத்தையும், முனிபத்தினிகளின் கற்பையும் சோதிக்க சிவபெருமான் எடுத்த உருவமே பிட்சாடன மூர்த்தி யாகும். அவரை தரிசிக்க நாம் வழுவூர் செல்ல வேண்டும் மயிலாடுதுறையருகே உள்ள இவ்வுரிலே தாருகாவனத்து முனிவர்களின் மமதயை அடக்க சிவபெருமான் பிட்சாடனராக எழுந்தருளினார். இவரை வணங்க பேரின்ப வழியையும், விருப்பு வெருப்பற்ற வாழ்க்கையயும் அடையலாம். சந்நியாசிகளும், முனிவர்களும், ரிஷிகளும் இந்தப் பிட்சாடனரை மனப்பூர்வமாக வணங்கினால் சித்திக் கிடைக்கும். மேலும் வில்வார்ச்சனையும், தேங்காய் நைவேத்தியமும் வியாழக்கிழமைகளில் செய்ய எதிரிகளின் கர்வம் அழியும். யாரையும் வெல்லும் வசியமுண்டாகும். இந்த பிட்சாடனமூர்த்திக்கு அன்னாபிசேகம் செய்ய பேறு பெற்ற பெருவாழ்வு தித்திக்கும்.
